Upper Nithsdale station with up to nine trains a day each way towards Dumfries and Glasgow Central (reduced on Sundays). ScotRail carries bikes at no charge; some journeys need a space reserved in advance. On ScotRail/Northern services from Carlisle no booking is needed (per South West Scotland Cycle Training).
