Small ScotRail station in Nithsdale with roughly nine trains a day each way, with gaps of up to four hours. ScotRail carries bikes at no charge; some journeys need a space reserved in advance. On ScotRail/Northern services from Carlisle no booking is needed (per South West Scotland Cycle Training).
