Dumfries railway station

Main station for Dumfries on the Glasgow South Western Line, run by ScotRail with hourly trains south to Carlisle and a roughly two-hourly service north to Kilmarnock and Glasgow. ScotRail carries bikes at no charge; some journeys need a space reserved in advance. On ScotRail/Northern services from Carlisle no booking is needed (per South West Scotland Cycle Training). The station has 20 sheltered cycle spaces (racks and lockers).
