About

Terminus of the line from Ayr at the harbour, with about five trains a day to Ayr (some continuing to Kilmarnock or Glasgow). Nearest rail point for the Cairnryan ferries, about 6 km away by road. ScotRail carries bikes at no charge; some journeys need a space reserved in advance. On ScotRail/Northern services from Carlisle no booking is needed (per South West Scotland Cycle Training).
